Summary:
ODI has received one complaint of steering wheel separation on the subject vehicles, allegedly due to the hub nut having never been installed on the sfaft spline (according to the repairing facility's Service Manager). Although the driver lost control of the vehicle, he/she was able to stop without impacting anything. A Prelliminary Evaluation is being opened to quantify the scope of the issue, the causes and to address the resulting public safety concerns.
