Summary:
The owner report was received from the State of New York, Office of General Services (OGS). According to the OGS report, four E-350 vans in its thirteen vehicle fleet experienced the problem. The report stated that in each instance large amounts of fuel were released in an"explosive" manner (in one instance it is reported that an entire tank of fuel was exhausted into the atmosphere). Also according to OGS, Ford has ivestigated and reported that the vehicles have a defective fuel filler pipe chech-valve and that the problem has alsobeen reported in CNG Crown Victoria and F-150 pickkjp trucks.
